This August, Apple TV+ will introduce Bad Sisters, a brand new comedy thriller series available as part of its upcoming comedy thriller offering. This dark comedy series comes from the same writer as the series Catastrophe, Sharon Horgan, who also stars in the series, along with an ensemble of actors.

Grace, Ursula, Eva, Bibi, and Becka are five sisters in a complicated situation after a family tragedy. They are forced to test their bonds as a result of the outcome. As the story is set against the backdrop of London and Dublin, it is a picturesque setting for a family story and induces the thrill and tension required for the plot to come alive.

The story of Bad Sisters is based on a Flemish television series called Clan, which aired in Belgium in 2012 and consisted of six episodes. As well as being written by Malin-Sarah Gozin, it was also directed by Kaat Beels and Nathalie Basteyns. Along with Horgan, Brett Baer, Perrie Balthazar, Karen Cogan, Dave Finkel, and many others, Gozin is credited with writing the tApp series.

What is the Release Date of Bad Sisters?

There will be a two-part premiere of Bad Sisters on Friday, August 19, 2022, only on Apple TV+, with the first episode premiere concurrently with the second one. Apple TV+ subscribers will be able to watch the series. TV subscribers can take advantage of three months of free access to the streaming service if they have an Apple TV subscription.

Total Episodes of Bad Sisters?

According to their press release, there are ten episodes of Bad Sisters available on Apple TV+. Within the next few weeks, every new episode will be released every week. There will be two episodes released simultaneously on August 19th, the day of the release, i.e., the day of the release.

Bad Sisters Trailer

The trailer for Bad Sisters, released here in July, starts with a funeral in which the Garvey sisters participate in the mourning process. As time passes, we learn that one of the sisters is married to the deceased’s husband. Despite this, the main story of the play is what happens after the funeral. 

In this area, the plot begins to thicken because there is a strong indication that foul play may have taken place. Despite the trailer giving away many plot points, we are confident there will be a lot of suspense up the creator’s sleeve. This is going to be revealed later in the series. It is undoubtedly straightforward to conclude from the video clip that the sisters are suspected of killing their brother-in-law, but was it true? 

Was it just a thought that they had to do it, or did they do it? Several hints are thrown out in the trailer as to whether the sisters might have attempted to do this. However, the idea can be dismissed given the ridiculousness that ensues from their various trials and errors and the concept’s absurdity. It’s hilarious.

A Cast of Bad Sisters?

There are several notable actresses in the cast of Bad Sisters, including Anne-Marie Duff (The Salisbury Poisonings), Eve Birthistle (The Last Kingdom), Sarah Greene (Dublin Murders), Eve Hewson (Behind Her Eyes), and Sharon Horgan (The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent).

Daryl McCormack, Assaad Bouab, Claes Bang, Brian Gleeson, and Saisée Quinn, a newcomer, also make up some of the cast: Claes Bang (The Northman), Brian Gleeson (Peaky Blinders), Daryl McCormack (Good Luck, Leo Grande), and Assaad Bouab (Messiah). It also stars Hewson as Becka, Greene as Bibi, and Horgan as Eva. 

Together, they make up the five Garvey sisters: Grace Williams, Ursula Flynn, Ursula Flynn, Becka, and Bibi. In the movie, Bang plays John Williams, Grace’s husband. Gleeson portrays Thomas Claffin, a private investigator for an insurance company. McCormack portrays Matthew Claffin, and Bouab plays Gabriel, among others.

Creators of the Bad Sisters?

In addition to being one of the writers on the show, Sharon Horgan created Bad Sisters, which is also one of the show’s creators. In addition to being an actress, writer, director, comedian, and producer, Horgan is well known for her collaboration with Rob Delaney on the British sitcom, Catastrophe. She created, wrote, and directed jointly with him. 

She has appeared in many movies and television series in her acting career, including Dating Amber, Game Night, Criminal: UK, Disenchantment, and many more. Aside from serving as an executive producer on Bad Sisters, Horgan is also collaborating with Faye Dorn, Clelia Mountford, Malin-Sarah Gozin, Bert Hamelinck, Michael Sagol, Brett Baer, and Dave Finkel on the show.

When are Bad Sisters Filming?

Bad Sisters commenced principal photography in 2021. The series was filmed in several locations within the city and a few places outside of Dublin. These locations included Sandycove, the Forty Foot, Howth, Malahide, and Belfast.

Story of Bad Sisters?

“Family” is the show’s tagline to describe the show. When you hear “It’s a Killer,” you know immediately that it will be a tragic family story with many twists and turns. In this case, the killing is both literal and figurative. Only one support system was available to the Garvey sisters following the death of their parents. 

They had one another’s backs, including trying to help one of them get out of an abusive marriage after they lost both their parents. A murder investigation is launched to determine if their brother-in-law was murdered after he suddenly passed away. According to the investigator, each of the sisters appears to be a viable suspect as far as the investigator is concerned. 

The girls, however, are also a strong unit within themselves. Since they have vowed to care for each other constantly, they will do whatever it takes to save themselves from this mess. It doesn’t matter if it causes confusion and chaos within the group.
