Buried In Barstow will undoubtedly have a sequel to provide the public an insight into Hazel’s tragic background. Hazel will return shortly, as mentioned at the end of the film. In fact, it is expected that this film series will feature at least four chapters before all of Hazel’s past and present are revealed.
Though no official release date has been set, it is expected that Buried In Barstow 2 will be released in 2023. The sequel is already in the works, and it should be available by the middle of 2023.

Angie Harmon plays Hazel King, a fugitive serial killer and Joy King’s teen mother. She is aggressive and possessive, and she owns a little cafe in Barstow to forget her past and focus on providing a better present for her kid. Hazel is a fearless killer, a strong mother, and a woman plagued by a past that haunts her even after twenty years.
Lauren Richards will play Hazel’s angsty daughter, Joy King. Joy’s relationship with Travis, who is represented by Timothy Granaderos, is dubious. Travis is Joy’s boyfriend, but it is expected that he has a larger agenda for the Kings.
Elliot, a Von assassin, is on a mission to bring Hazel back to Von. He is not only an assassin, but also a cardiothoracic surgeon, which has yet to be proved because nearly half of what Elliot claims is a lie. What begins as a work for Elliot ends up being a life-changing romance.
In this sequel, other characters such as Javier, played by George Paez, Brenden as Rudy, and Exie as Carl will return to assist Hazel in dealing with her past. Since Von (Bruce McGill) and Phil (Gabriel Rodriguez) die in the film, they will not appear in the sequel. If the filmmakers require certain scenes from Hazel’s background, Bruce may also appear in this sequel.
