It’s great that Disney+ gives Riordan the upper hand when it comes to announcing big changes. The author just told us about three new cast members who are joining the amazing cast of the series. The roles of Medusa, Areas, and Echidna will be played by these actors. And thank goodness, we also know about the characters!
Who is in Percy Jackson and the Olympians?
Jessica Parker Kennedy will be playing Medusa, Adam Copeland will be playing Ares, and Suzzanne Cryer will be playing Echidna. These are the only new things. There are, of course, other people in the cast.
Medusa is the bad guy with snake-like hair who tried to turn Percy and his friends into stone. She is not as rude, though! Riordan says she is something, and some people also think she is nice. Because of how well she did her job in the last series she worked on, it seems like Jessica is the best choice for the role.
Ares, on the other hand, is a person who loves chaos and hates peace. He will do anything to keep there from being peace. Adam’s role in the Percy Jackson series is similar to the roles he has played in other series. So, his tape for the job was pretty good. Even the people in charge of casting said this was true.
Percy’s faith in God will be tested by Echidna, the third new character. She is different and dangerous in her own way. And her character has a lot more interesting details!
The first thing we heard from the author were the official cast announcements. In April 2021, he was happy to tell fans that work on the series had started. He was the one who brought up the child actor who would play Percy Jackson’s most important role. He is Walker Scobell, to be sure. Surprisingly, the actor hasn’t done a lot of acting before. So far, “The Adam Project” is his only project. But the fans are happy with how Percy’s character was played. Because the actor gives off the same vibe as Percy.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians, the show, has not been given an official release date by Disney+. And it doesn’t look like we’ll get it any time soon, since Percy Jackson and the Olympians is still being filmed and made.
