New ‘Stranger Things 3’ Poster Teases a Summer of Change

The season of Stranger Things 3, an American science fiction horror drama television series, was released on Netflix on July 4, 2019. Together with Shawn Levy, Dan Cohen, and Iain Paterson, the Duffer Brothers created the series. The season preceded Stranger Things season 2, and the season following it was Stranger Things season 4.

Eleven, played by Millie Bobby Brown, Mike, played by Finn Wolfhard, and Hopper, played by David Harbour, are all there as well as Robin, portrayed by Maya Hawke, who works at ST3’s unique setting, the Starcourt Mall, with Steve, Joe Keery.

Stranger Things Season 3 Cast

In this season, Lucas’ little sister Erica, played by Priah Ferguson, is a series regular, appearing in all eight episodes. She was a lot of fun in season two’s few minutes of screen time, so this can only be a good thing. One of the most iconic archetypes of 1980s filmdom was the famous teenage lifeguard in Stranger Season 3. As Hawkins Community Pool lifeguard Heather, Francesca Reale (from Netflix’s Haters Back Off) joins the cast.

Mayor Kline was played by Cary Elwes (Saw). There is no mention of whether Kline is governor of Hawkins, Indiana, where the action takes place in the show’s town setting. Kline is described as “handsome, slick, and sleazy.”

The role of Bruce has been cast with Jake Busey (The Frighteners). Maya Thurman-Hawke will play “an alternative girl named Robin who is bored with her mundane day job.” The character has a sick sense of humor and questionable morals. As she searches for excitement in her life, she uncovers a dark secret in Hawkins” (description via Variety)

Stranger Things Season 3 Episodes

As part of its yearly tradition, Netflix released a video containing the titles for each of Stranger Thing Season 3’s eight episodes. Please take a look at the following.

1. Suzie, Do You Copy?

Soviet scientists attempted to force open a new gate to the Upside Down in June 1984 (before season 2).year later, in Hawkins, the popularity of the new Starcourt Mall forced many local businesses to close, angering townspeople. Much to Hopper’s chagrin, Mike and Eleven have begun a romantic relationship; he later threatens Mike into agreeing not to see her.

As Dustin returns from summer camp, he attempts to contact his new girlfriend, Suzie, but his friends abandon him, and he intercepts a Russian transmission. The Mind Flayer may still be alive but Will senses it privately. An organic mass is formed when rats congregate in a mill. A mysterious creature runs Billy off the road on his way to a rendezvous with Karen Wheeler and drags him inside the mill.

2. The Mall Rats.”

The creature induces Billy to see the Upside Down, where he meets his doppelgänger. As the beast tortures Billy with different ideas and voices, he kidnaps Heather Holloway and brings her back to it. In their role as interns at the Hawkins Post, Nancy and Jonathan investigate Mrs. Driscoll’s house to find out if rabid rats are eating her fertilizer. A rat explodes before them, but they do not notice it. Eleven breaks up with Mike after he lies to her to avoid seeing her after Hopper threatens him.

Max and Eleven bond to distract themselves from Mike and Lucas while shopping at Starcourt. When Joyce investigates a mysterious loss of magnetism among objects at home and at work, she accidentally sets Hopper up for a date. As Dustin reunites with Steve, who works at the mall’s ice cream parlor, and Robin, a former classmate, they determine that the intercepted Russian radio message must be a code.

3. The Case of the Missing Lifeguard

Mike and Billy, who feel Eleven’s presence, are spied on by her powers. Heather has gone missing, and she and Max discover it together. Nancy and Jonathan realize Mrs. Driscoll is eating fertilizer in her home after finding reports of missing fertilizer and strange behavior among rats. Angry over Eleven and Max, Will fights with Lucas and Mike and retreats to Castle Byers, which he destroys.

After decoding the Russian communication, she, Steve, and Dustin see armed Russian soldiers handling the shipment that night. When Hopper and Joyce investigate the abandoned Hawkins Lab, Grigori, a Russian soldier, attacks Hopper because he believes an electromagnetic device caused the demagnetization. Eleven and Max find Billy and Heather at Heather’s parents’ home; after they leave, Billy and Heather subdue her parents, which Will senses just as Mike and Lucas find him, and he reveals that Mind Flayer is still alive.

4. The Sauna Test

Her parents are brought to the mill by Billy and Heather, where they are possessed by the Mind Flayer (a physical creature made of rats’ flesh). During Grigori’s meeting with town mayor Larry Kline, Hopper and Joyce convince Kline that Starcourt Mall is a Russian front for buying abandoned properties throughout Hawkins. Starcourt’s loading dock is an elevator, and Dustin, Steve, Robin, and Lucas’ sister Erica, are trapped beneath it. In a plot twist, Nancy and Jonathan are fired by their boss (Heather’s father) for harassing Mrs. Driscoll; Nancy visits Mrs.

Driscoll at the hospital out of suspicion and watches her turn into a Mind Flayer. There is a possibility that Billy has been maintained by the Mind Flayer, as Will reveals his connection to them to Mike, Lucas, Eleven, and Max. To confirm Billy’s birth, they devise a plan to trap him in the pool sauna, but Billy escapes and nearly kills them before Eleven can subdue him and convince him he is born. There are dozens of townspeople owned by the Mind Flayer since Billy returned to the mill.

5. The Flayed

A hidden laboratory is discovered by Hopper and Joyce while searching one of the abandoned properties. As Grigori prepares to kill them, they escape with a hostage–a Russian scientist named Alexei–in tow. Dustin, Steve, Robin, and Erica hide in a Russian lab beneath Starcourt as Russian soldiers unload crates. In an attempt to find a communications room, the group discovers a large testing area where scientists attempt to force an Upside Down portal open. Hopper and Joyce take Alexei to Murray, the only Russian speaker they know, to translate for him because he does not speak English.

As Grigori follows them, he loses track of them. The Mind Flayer possesses Billy and Driscoll and uses them to “flay” (keep) people to build an army. Nancy and Jonathan gather Will, Mike, Lucas, Eleven, and Max to theorize about what’s happening. While visiting Driscoll at the hospital, the group discovers she has gone missing. After Nancy and Jonathan kill Tom and Bruce, who are now part of the Flayed, they dissolve into a single organic mass resembling the Mind Flayer.

6. E Pluribus Unum.”

As Eleven and Mike reconcile, she uses her powers to incapacitate the Tom/Bruce Mind Flayer, forcing it to flee to the mill. Dustin and Erica rescue Steve and Robin from the Russian lab beneath Starcourt before they are captured, drugged, and interrogated. Murray translates as Hopper, and Joyce holds Alexei hostage, forcing him to reveal that the Russians are opening a portal beneath Starcourt to gain access to the Upside Down. Joyce insists they return to Hawkins immediately, fearing that their kids may be involved, when Hopper calls Owens and alerts the American Government of the threat.

Kline is cornered by Grigori at Hawkins’ Independence Day fair, demanding that he increase his efforts to find Hopper. Max and Mike argue about how to use Eleven’s powers, and Mike accidentally confesses to loving Eleven. After learning of Billy’s troubled childhood and seeing the Mind Flayer at the mill, Eleven uses her psychic powers to locate the Mind Flayer. Detecting Eleven’s presence, Billy reveals that the Mind Flayer plans to kill her in retaliation for her closing the gate. A mass of Flayed dissolves into organic matter and merges with the Mind Flayer at the mill.

7. The Bite

As the one who previously closed the gate, Eleven and the others determine that Mind Flayer is coming for her. Are you able to detect the Mind Flayer’s approach? Eleven is attacked and injured by the Mind Flayer before they flee. The Starcourt movie theater is where Dustin and Erica hide Steve and Robin after they have been drugged. Her group breaks into a supermarket to help Eleven treat her wounds and gather more supplies. To explain the situation, Dustin uses his walkie-talkie to contact them. After Eleven uses her powers to find Dustin, the group takes off for the mall.

She reveals to Steve that she is gay, but Steve admits he has feelings for her. In Hawkins, Hoppers’ group searches for the children at the fairgrounds, where Kline spots them and alerts the Russians. Grigori fatally shoots Alexei in front of Murray. After evading several Soviet agents, Murray, Hopper, and Joyce learn that the agents are looking for the children at the mall. Dustin’s group is stopped from being shot by Eleven’s group in time at the mall. A pulsating wound is visible on Eleven’s body as she collapses.

8. The Battle of Starcourt

Eleven removes the Mind Flayer piece embedded in her wound, rendering her powerless. Eleven’s group is transported to safety when Hopper’s group arrives. With Dustin and Erica navigating from Dustin’s radio tower, Hopper, Joyce, and Murray reach the machine. Billy and the Mind Flayer trapped Eleven’s group at the mall. Meanwhile, Eleven frees Billy from the Mind Flayer’s control by using fireworks. Billy’s sacrifice protects Max, Eleven, and Mike. In the process of fighting and killing Grigori, Hopper becomes trapped.

Joyce, out of time, triggers an explosion that shuts down the gate, seemingly destroying Hopper. When Dr. Owens arrives with military forces, the Mind Flayer’s body dies. A disgraced Kline is arrested three months after the deaths are covered up, Starcourt is destroyed, and the ends are covered up. A still-powerless Eleven and the Byers family prepare to leave Hawkins. They plan to meet at Thanksgiving and confess their love for each other. Russian guards are instructed to feed a captured Demogorgon a prisoner, but not an American.

Ending Line

Stranger Things 3 ends with a bang. The film is a blockbuster in every sense of the word; exciting, spectacular, funny and so unbelievably affecting that I cried for about 15 minutes after the credits rolled. It is impossible to fault the final episode of Stranger Things 3. It is flawlessly crafted, a great piece of television.
