How Does an Intake Manifold Work?

Manifold runners are tubes that carry air from the plenum to the intake port on each cylinder head. Fuel-injected engines feature ports for the fuel injectors in each runner. The fuel is injected just before it goes into the intake port.

What Is a Torque Converter?

A torque converter transmits the torque from an engine to a rotating driven load. In vehicles with automatic transmissions, torque converters connect the power source to the load. Some transmissions, such as the dual-clutch automatic transmissions, are mechanically closer to manual transmissions and so they employ physical clutches instead of torque converters.
